As an Innovation & Investment Impact Fellow at the U.S. Small Business Administration, Maura redesigned the Growth Accelerator Fund Competition to center equity and inclusion, quadrupling the applicant pool and ensuring resources reached underserved innovation ecosystems. She also co-chaired a federal Community of Practice for Inclusive Ecosystem Building and helped develop standardized metrics for federal initiatives. At Temple University’s Small Business Development Center, she led a dramatic turnaround—growing the team, expanding the budget, and facilitating access to millions in capital for small businesses, earning multiple statewide awards for innovation and performance.
Currently, Maura is advancing community wealth building through AllHold Capital, a $25 million impact investment fund that combines Employee Ownership Trusts with real estate acquisition, enabling small businesses to transition to employee ownership and preventing commercial displacement. Her expertise in community development finance was honed at FINANTA, where she helped secure over $100 million in capital for immigrant and undercapitalized entrepreneurs.
